Coursework: Music video production

 MUSIC VIDEO TREATMENT

Throughout the music video, there will be a performance shot so them singing in a different place so where the time jumps are is where this would play.

The music video does have a narrative which is about the protagonist playing a video game with 2 people behind them watching. The video then cuts within the game where a student is stuck in a dystopian world. They look left and right and see behind them there is a person wearing a creepy mask (begins at 0.23 to 0.39).  Then the following shots will be of the protagonist walking through the schools(hallways, classroom, canteen etc.) staring at the people wearing masks and constantly bumping into them.Then there will be a shot of the exists of the school gates to establish a new location. At 1.29 the shots will be the protagonist leaving the school gates. Then the protagonist will be walking down the streets; seeing the mask people constantly again. 

Then the student will begin running. At the end of the song, the student will stop in the middle of the roads and there will be jump cuts of the masked people coming closer and closer to the protagonist whilst protagonist stays stationary. When the masked people are right behind the protagonist the music video will return to the beginning shot. The protagonist will still be playing the video game however this time the 2 people behind them will be wearing masks too.

MISE-EN-SCENE (CLAMPS)

Costume- Baggy and Urban clothes when doing performance. Smart casual for the school environment, Clothes which are gender fluid.

Lighitng- Most of shots will done out in daylight

Actors/performance- Fadima and Faiza will be the 2 masked actors, I will be the student. In the school screens their will be two focal points first the student then the masked person. In the lip synced I will focus on my self and Fadima will be in the background with her mask. 

Make up- No make up

Props- There will be mask props that will be worn by Fadima and Faiza who are the masked characters. A skateboard will be used as a guitar for the performance shot for the aesthetic element. Headphones will be worn frequently to show the sponsorship.

Setting- The main locations for the narrative I will choose will be School (Canteen, Common Room and hallways) and the streets outside school (Westbury Avenue). The locations I will choose for the performance shot will be in a alleyway and in front of a bus stop
