Mise-en-scene
The scene itself is very saturated therefore it may be trying to portray the colours and make the image have a positive mood to it or create this vintage aesthetic. The character is placed in the middle of scene looking towards and the background is the sea so maybe she is looking out for something specific. The scene also looks mysterious because we can't her face therefore her personality may be peculiar too. Also you can see how her clothes blend with the background which therefore shows she could be spy who blends with the background and is harder to notice.

In matrix the character wearing the leather jacket seems more superior in sense of knowledge because firstly you can see how is clothes differ from the other characters and also you can see how he is rarely pushed by the background characters. Similarly in Downtown Abbey the lady with the silver clothes seems more superior in the sense of power and money because she is wearing a more royal colour and she has more jewellery. Also in Matrix the colour palate for the scene is very dull with similar shades of grey therefore the scene maybe portraying the dull and systematic society we live in. Where as for Downtown Abbey the colour palate is vintage and royal which means the scene is placed in the past
